$800/$875 is overpriced for an old apartment that is hot as hell and filled with centipedes in the summer (yes, no matter how much they spray) and freezing cold in the winter. Avoid these apartments at all costs.
The property was recently sold to Peak Management, and you can see their reviews are BAD bad, 2.6 stars, tenants cannot get a hold of management for issues. I’ve been here in these apartments for over five years I can see that I’ll be moving out soon as it’s obvious they’re slumlords and don’t care for their tenants at all. Too bad, as this is a beautiful property even if the older buildings do lack most modern things (no dishwasher, no en suite laundry, limited access to internet providers, no A/C, old furnaces, almost 90 year old windows; very cold in the winter, trash dumpsters are far from the apartments, no recycling on premises, showers are old fashioned, no counter space in bathroom).
When it snowed, they did a horrible job plowing the parking lot out as well as clearing sidewalks. Recently had carpets shampooed in older buildings, during the winter, windows closed so no ventilation while they dried. Mgmt removed rugs to wipe feet at the door so salt was tracked into the freshly cleaned carpet… if this is how they begin, I cannot imagine how fast they’re going to run this charming, shabby chic place into the ground. Good from afar, but soon it’s going to be far from good.
