There's a little bit more to this nature reserve than just being a dog walking area. The grassed area from the road is for ball games and the grass is mowed during the year to keep it reasonably short. Dogs aren't permitted to be exercised in this part, though they have to walk across it to the nature reserve itself. It doesn't take long to amble round and the path is also kept short. A path leads down to the brook that, eventually, finds its way to the river Penk. It is boggy just behind the field fence but keeping to the right hand path keeps you away from the wet. Beautiful place to visit, especially in the summer.
