This park recently had 5 LTA tennis courts put in which I originally thought was brilliant as the old tennis courts were run down. I was excited to try the new courts until I discovered it costs £5 a hour to use them. The old courts were free.

Willenhall park in Wolverhampton also has 2 LTA tennis courts which are free to book through the parks own website. And Mary Stevens park in Stourbridge also has free tennis courts...

Tbh, in the cost of living crisis everything now costs money, and people are struggling. It not a great time to start charging people to use the facilities in their local park...

Please consider making them free again. It will improve the mental and physical health of locals, encourage families to get into sports and foster local relationships. At this price it's reserved for David Lloyd members and older kford residents rather than the (on average) younger, less affluent, residents of Wordsley.

Edit: £5 may not seem like much to some, but if you want to go regularly it becomes the price of another gym membership and when there are cheaper options locally this is unfeasible.
