During our recent visit to this location of Human Rescue Alliance, we were deeply troubled by the conditions we observed. The strong odor of urine and also urine running out of the cell floors throughout the facility of the dogs suggested that the animals were not being taken out as often as needed. While the cats' situation was slightly better, the overall smell was still unpleasant.
We had previously visited the Montgomery County Animal Service and Adoption Center and were impressed by the cleanliness and well-maintained environment. We deeply appreciate the work of the staff and volunteers at the Human Rescue Alliance but believe that management needs to take steps to improve the conditions for the animals in their care.
