House of Thai is definitely pricier than most Thai restaurants I’ve been to, but it comes with the neighborhood. Their food was absolutely delicious and packed with authentic flavors! Their service was good; our waitress served our food quickly, remained attentive as it got busier, and made sure everything was okay.
I would definitely recommend ordering their Spicy Basil Fried Rice with a Thai Iced Tea. If you can handle heat ask for their hot chili sauce, it adds a nice kick. They serve in large portions, so don’t be afraid to share with your friends! Their Mango Sticky Rice was good, but I wish it had a richer coconut flavor. For the price of the dessert they could serve you a bit more rice and mangoes. If I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely come back to try out their curry dishes or noodles and definitely have another refreshing Thai Iced Tea for these warmer spring days!
Be aware that they close for an hour around 4pm for lunch and open their doors again around 5pm! We showed up at 5pm and they made us wait outside for about 10 minutes before seating us. They could’ve at least seated us and let us look at the menu in the meantime, but I understand it’s their lunch break. That’s my only real complaint, but it won’t deter me from coming back.

I would definitely come here again. I started off with Curry Puffs, they were smaller than expected, but still delicious. The dough was soft and filling a bit on the sweeter side, by the sauce really sits well with the curry. The Grilled Pork marinade was sweet too, but it was tender and had a nice char. Ask for their hot sauce, if you can handle the kick and use their green chili sauce. Their Basil Fried Rice with beef was great. They give you a lot of meat and could offer some more rice. Mango Sticky Rice was nothing special, but it was tasty and served in big portion; good for sharing.
Tried out their Thai Buffalo Wings and they were absolutely delicious! The overall sizes of the wings were perfect, a lot of meat on the bone, skin was very crispy. The sauce was sweeter than spicy; I wish there was more of a kick and more sauce on the wings itself, but they were still delicious as is.

One of the best NY style pizza I’ve had at a reasonable price too. The slices were large with a good cheese to sauce ratio. Sauce was a bit acidic, but not overwhelming. The dough was soft and held its form well, crust was crunchy on the outside and soft within. It wasn’t oily either. Their garlic knots were a bit small, but you get 6. They were really soft and not too garlicky. I’d get marinara sauce on the side.
The food was delicious! My friend ordered the Bandeja Ecuatoriana despite not being a big fan of steak and absolutely loved his meal. The portions served are large and will definitely leave you full. The venue is quite small, so expect to wait a bit, but the service was great from the moment we entered. Ordered the Chaulafan and I enjoyed it except their chicken could be a bit more tender. All the flavors meshed well together and the hot sauce had a nice kicker to it and really added another layer of flavor to the dish.
