Pret used to have another location (pre-pandemic) on the other side of Bryant Park. Unsure if it's because their corporate office was located within, but service was ALWAYS excellent there and employees have always been friendly. I loved going there and the energy was really good and positive. At this location, however, I was very disappointed today. The employee taking my order left out part of my order and the individual along with two other employees made it seem like it was my fault, even though I repeated my order twice and it wasn't even confusing! No problem, I'm happy to seperately pay for the item missed because it happens! Next, I was handed 3 of the bakery items and two hot coffees at once and I mixed up the drinks because they weren't labeled and I was also holding onto each of the bakery items (3 bags which honestly should have just been put into 1 shopping bag considering I can't hold everything with my two hands). When I asked the employee that I mixed up the drinks and was unsure which was decaf, I was given a HUGE attitude. From ordering to being handed my order, everything was very chaotic and the employees made it seem like it was all my fault. Also, the hot coffee was so cold, I had to throw it out. I couldn't go back to have it warmed up because the employees were already so rude, I did not want to make the situation worse. I hate to leave such a negative review but it seems like Pret's customer service and quality has decreased overall as service hasn't been too great lately at other locations too.
