Nice dog park. Mostly purebred dogs - or dogs mixed with poodles - and it's a nice crowd. It's a dusty place if it hasn't rained in a while, but the dust only happens when the dogs are having fun so it's happy dust. (But don't wear shoes you would not want to be very white with dust.)
Plenty of benches and trees if you want to stay out of the sun, and there's also a separate small dog section that is separate from the main run. There is a water spigot if you bring a dog bowl. The location within Riverside Park is beautiful. Nice walk and pretty surroundings. Always well-maintained (but be prepared for dusty feet).

Good security and lifeguards. The "manager" is a real jerk and speaks to the lifeguards and other staff incredibly rudely, disrespectfully, and nasty. I was absolutely shocked at how nasty he is. He should be fired. He asked a lifeguard if he was an idiot, stupid, or just dumb. That's totally unacceptable behavior and demoralizing to the young people in charge of our safety. Besides him, the place is well-kept, the pools are beautiful, the lockers and bathrooms totally adequate and other services fine. Parking also good. Nice afternoon experience except for this one manager creep. If not for him, I'd give 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ but he was that much of a jerk that I give only 4.
