Rather basic accommodation, however, the rooms are comfortable and clean. I'd recommend the cabins Very chilled property, we had dinner in the dining room and a very good homecooked meal. Served fresh, hot and tasty.. I do recommend eating in.
Wines are very affordable.
Just a few minutes out of Hill End.

30 years since my first visit.. nothing changed except more rust on the buildings 😅
Stayed overnight at the local lodge. Spent an hour or so walking around Hill End village. Lots of signs depicting what was once on the land where the signs are placed. Very few buildings remain but interesting to read. The pub has a bistro with limited hours! Was good to revisit for an overnight stay. Has a camground in town, nicely laid out, amenities basic.
Best to drive thru Sofala.. quaint town with a pub and a little more to see than Hill End.
