This is not my favourite hill to climb. It's nice and tall, and straightforward, but the two options for gaining the summit are a fire trail covered in loose gravel (which is particularly dangerous on the descent), or indulging in a bit of cross country climbing up a weed-infested slope. The views of both the Lanyon and Tuggeranong valleys are certainly nice though neither is particularly photogenic.
The nicest parts of this Hill are found on the lower slopes on the eastern, western, and southern faces.
It would really benefit from some better pathways as found on Mt. Taylor or even Urambi.
