Dessert Lady is a Swiss Army Knife that excels in many different cuisines and styles. When you take a bite – whether a savoury pasta dish, a hearty salad or an addictive slice of mouse cake – you feel the thought and care put into the food they serve.

I have tried a handful of their menu items, and I've enjoyed all of them. While I'm not particularly a "salad" person, I was instantly hooked on their Steak Avocado Salad. A voluminous amount of fresh greens, tomatoes, and avocado, accompanied by a tender steak. As well, you can't go wrong with their cakes. Not overly sweet, but just right.

I don’t typically eat a lot of burgers, so take my review as you will, but Rudy’s is the best burger I’ve ever tasted. I’ve Googled the “Best Burgers in Toronto” and this place has consistently come up in various social media outlets, and they didn’t disappoint at all. In fact, after I had one cheeseburger, I ended up ordering another. It was that good.

I heard their poutine is great, so I’d love to try that as well next time.

Just a very solid, reasonably priced bowl of noodles. I’m not sure if it’s still the case but the rice noodles can be refilled for free. Every broth I’ve tried so far (original, tom yum and curry) were great. Side dishes are not bad either.

Edit September 2023: still 5/5. Tried their Basil Chicken rice dish and it was fantastic. Price is still reasonable as well. Service was excellent too.
