The bar staff are miserable and unwelcoming. It seems if they smiled their faces would crack. Not even a hello or thank you. Come here if you need to, shame as the history of the place is amazing but the service is appalling. Can get busy when a band is playing but empty most of the time.

Love this local pub. Always a warm welcome and clientele are friendly. Like a pub should be if you want a few drinks without the 'gastro' pretentiousness or prices. Has a jukebox and a pool table. The outside area is mainly for smokers but if it's warm then sit out and enjoy a pint or glass of wine.
