Parked adjacent to the bridge. Started the hike at the covered bridge. The bridge was magnificent. The views along the small trails on the west side of the Speed River were very beautiful, bored on the east though. Short cut the hiking by returning from the bridge at thee Victoria road.
The cliff view was magnificent, lake view was spectacular. Walked along the shore, and went to the bottom of the cliffs, it was a pleasant and easy 5km. Alot parking spaces in the week days. Saw some people working from the beach under the trees at BBQ tables. Families with children and dogs enjoyed their leisure time there.
A quiet and less hiked trail, did not see any other hikers during the hiking. The grass were kind of tall on the trail. Took the Wetlands trail loop, but only completed the south portion. The total loop length is about 6km. Mosquitos were hungrily active, so bring you spray.
Duncan Creek Trail
2022 May 22
The trail runs from Steeles and Leslie at the top, along the Duncan Creek, to Don Mills and McNicoll at the bottom, it also connects to the Bestview trail on the west side of Leslie. The trail was very easy, the scenery was fine. Only street parking available. It can be busy sometimes.
Bestview can be discounted at this season, but not by much. It was a nice Sunday morning, it was kind of busy, at least on the main trail. Took the side trail on and off along the Don River from the Bestview Park to Finch and back. The path under Cummer was under construction. A very nice walk, it was about 6km.
