QDOBA Mexican Eats

I occasionally order from this QDOBA. This is my go-to location. I ordered a “Create Your Own Habanero Lime Steak Bowl” for carry out today.

HOWEVER, today I was chowing down, and my teeth bit down *hard* on a really sharp hard object. I pulled it out, and to my amazement it was a shard of GLASS!

Kids, remember to always chew before eating. This is why.

It just blows my mind, and now I have to question the quality and preparation of my food and order.

What would have happened had I swallowed this sharp jagged piece of glass? I shudder to think it. I could have died easily.

Also, I’m not convinced I did not already ingest smaller shards of glass. My body could be filled with small, tiny glass shards & I wouldn’t know it.

I’m really scared of ordering food at this QDOBA now! I 100% could have died had I not caught this in time, and swallowed this glass shard — SO lucky that I caught it in time!

Food was good here. Good vibes and quiet ambiance with indoor seating.

I got either the Baller Double or Classic Double. I don’t remember, but it was likely the Baller Double.

Bluemont Burger also looks really nice — if I were to come again, I’d try that.

I got a side of Caesar salad. It was pretty good and hit the spot.

Overall, great service and quiet, interesting ambiance in outdoor seating. Food was pretty decent here.

First time visiting this spot in Atlanta. Came here for brunch, on my birthday. Last visited: July 2023.

Parking is sufficient, and it’s available outside the restaurant.

Our table ordered:
- Chicken and Waffles
- Pancakes w/ Hash Brown Fries (?)
- Orange Juice

The service was prompt and no issues with it. I got a note and paid the tab at the front counter, while leaving.

The indoors seating and atmosphere was just so-so, nothing special.

Other than, apparently there are photos of famous people who’ve visited, as celebrities and actors such as Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson — and some other folks, whose name I’m drawing a blank on now — have visited.

Food was great, nothing extraordinary. Chicken was nice and went well with the waffle. There was a lot of maple syrup and butter packets provided, but we didn’t use a lot of them. I only used one syrup packet, and all butters — if memory serves correct — and then left the rest. We actually stacked about seven or so of the unopened maple syrup packets, one atop another. So, yeah.

All said, food was decent here and was filling at the least. But it was nothing exceptional. Hopefully I might revisit here if I get another chance, one day. After all, it looks like someone famous people have frequented this spot at least once, so it might be worth another try.

Pretty sweet park. I strolled down here with my sister, who's showing me around.

I'm visiting Atlanta, so I'm not like a local or anything.

First off, coming in there's an iron gate cutting through the paved asphalt road, with a sign that says "Private Entry only" -- don't remember the exact phrase.

Suffice to say, I'd imagine they want to warn off traffic, but any *foot* traffic (ahem, pedestrians) are fair game here. As in, it's a free country, and it's perfectly allowed to go for a casual stroll around -- so no worries, brother.

Cool views all around. Lot of light to deep- green vegetation, as is customary for all Georgia sights, as I've slowly come to learn.

Saw a brotherhood or some forked trees, about human height, I'd say.

A tree that seemed split in two, perhaps by the storm or such.

A wide open grassy pasture, which is perfect to sit down and picnic at, maybe eat a sandwich or something for lunch. Wouldn't be a halfway bad idea.

Oh, and I spotted a dear -- deer. Snapped my fingers because I'm a bit combatant for no good reason, and the deer's ears eventually perked up, and it glanced in my direction, a bit quizzically, tilting its head as if asking what the heck I was about. I just said aloud, "Hi!" and promptly waved in a genial rejoinder, and it promptly snorted (or maybe I heard it in my mind) and went back to feasting on the wondrous, glorious deep-green vegetation. Oh, well. Vegans, am I right?

Anyways, strolled down a bit farther, came across a man-made waterfall. Didn't get too close, but I managed to snap some photos, as you can see.

Eventually, on the right side of a road, we beheld a narrow metal bridge, which looked safe enough to cross. It was situated above a murky swamp, or maybe it was a lake. We crossed two at a time, even though I wondered if maybe one at once would've been a wiser choice. Turns off, there was enough wisdom to go around, as nothing too eventful transpired there.

Ultimately, came upon a private residence, the Lullwater House -- named after the park, I'd hazard a guess. It said invited guests only, which was a bit of a bummer, and I'd assume dear Nosferatu would agree wholeheartedly with me.

Anyways, we turned back or rather continued the loop to head to the path that returned to the entrance, but overall my experience is that this is a pretty nifty, out of the way and low-key park, with a sufficient amount of vegetation, trees, and wildlife if that's your sort of thing! Seems like a great and altogether unassuming location too. I'll definitely be back here, at least once more, maybe run it solo next time! Great place for a casual stroll anytime — after all, who’s there to stop you?
Neat little library. It reminds me of the Reston Library for some reason; or one of those libraries I used to go to as a kid.

I came around closing time from a nearby park, at almost 6, so everything was nearly pitch dark.

Had time to check out study area and windows. It was pretty cool.

Lot of meeting rooms and such areas. Reservations or first come first serve. Shared spaces, that kind of thing. I was chatting with a librarian in the lobby right before they closed up shop, so I was able to confirm a few things.

What is it that they always say? That there’s no such thing as a final goodbye. So indeed, this is not that. I’ll surely be back once more, somewhere down the road. Hopefully I’ll swing by when the sun is in full swing outdoors.
