I travel to the Twin Cities area at least twice yearly. This is my first choice regarding YMCAs because it is clean, up-to-date equipment, friendly patrons, and friendly front desk staffers.
I just wish at least one trainer was on the weight room floor at all times (like my home YMCA). I’m very short and can’t reach to adjust cable machines, and I can’t lift heavy weights off of barbells that others have left on them. Sometimes, other patrons would help me. Sometimes, I had to skip parts of my workout that my YMCA trainer planned for me, so I could remain consistent while traveling.
All in all, go here. And, purchase yourself the national plan, so you can remain consistent with your exercise plan while traveling. If you can afford it, invest into the personal trainer package to help you learn how to exercise properly.
