Great for a quick bite and cuppachino whilst out shopping in Cavendish. Super friendly service. Really good coffee. The pastrami on rye is really delicious.

A lovely spot in Newlands for delicious breakfast. Slight mountain view - comfortable seating on the patio. Friendly service.
We went to try out the Welsh Rarebit - because so few restaurants serve this - but it was sadly not up to our expectation - having had Welsh Rarebit in the past at another restaurant.
I had the scrambled egg on toast. The egg was nice and fluffy but the bread was a bit disappointing. I suppose we are so spoilt for choice with delicious breads in Cape Town that I have become a fussy bread eater. Hubby has the kippers with poached egg which he enjoyed. Coffee was a bit "weak". So overall a pretty average experience.

We went for a "blunch" (early lunch) after a walk in Tokai Forest. We had their classic burger which was so delicious. The croissant with salmon and cream cheese was generously filled. Hubby had the pastrami with smoked chicken and a whole lot of toppings - also delicious. Great coffee, milk shakes and iced coffee. I loved my freshly squeezed orange and carrot juice with ginger. Their cakes looked good as well - but this is for next time.
They are doggy friendly too which is such a bonus for us as we took our dogs to the forest. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. Definitely worthy of a return visit when we are out that way.

We walked our dogs around The Common and then popped in to this small coffee shop/ deli. They are pet friendly - seating outside on the pavement (car park area) with views of Table Mountain. We had the custard danish pastry -very delicious , and a koesister. I tried their chicken pie - they warned it up and the pastry was crispy with generous chicken filling. Good cuppacino and friendly staff. Definitely worth the pop in.
