A beautiful restored early Mansion/home that was one of the first to have e bathrooms and electric lighting. The grounds are pretty and it is an easy 3 minute stroll. We went for holiday high tea which was nice but not the food was ok, not something I’d return for. This is more of an experience rather than a place to frequent.
Really fun. Love how the actual home of Dickens is a walk-in museum and a tour through his personal life. Well done for kids too. Lots of stairs, no elevator, even though there is a ramp to the front door. Not handicapped friendly, sorry. Very pleasant cafe garden to sit and discuss your impressions
This is a new place for us and it was quite lovely. Great service, not too loud, and we enjoyed everything!
Wow! The food really wowed me. And the the atmosphere and service were equally good. What really amazed me each person in our party tried a different main and each was spectacular! Especially the vegetarian curry-a standout!! We shared a bottle of the Shiraz, which was equally spectacular. Truly an amazing dinner. Highest recommendation. You will not be disappointed.”
This is a lovely, high ceiling/double story vintage industrial building with character and style. Nice inside table and lots outside in the quad. This place can have quite a line and if so, do a little shopping and stop in a few minutes later and it will be quiet. Big groups pass through quickly.
