Taco Bell satisfies my cravings for quick, tasty Tex-Mex fast food. While not authentic Mexican cuisine, they have mastered the affordable Americanized taco. From their classic crunchy tacos filled with seasoned beef, lettuce, and cheese to Chalupas loaded with beans, Taco Bell's menu hits the spot. Customizing your order from their array of ingredients and sauces ensures you get just what you want
. While Taco Bell won't provide a refined culinary experience, its sheer convenience, consistency, and value keep me coming back whenever I need a south-of-the-border food fix. For cheap, custom, and filling Mexican-inspired on-the-go, Taco Bell delivers.
The Taco Bell in the AFI Palace food court offers a convenient option for Tex-Mex fast food. However, potential diners should be aware that the prices are on the expensive side, especially if you're looking for a filling meal. While the quality of the ingredients is fairly good, with fresh, crunchy shells and tasty seasoned beef, the portion sizes are quite small for the cost. Expect to pay upwards of 20 ron for a simple burito, so buying multiple items to get full can add up quickly. Overall, Taco Bell offers a nice change of pace from standard food court fare, but the value isn't great considering the small serving sizes. Diners looking for a satisfying and affordable mall meal may want to explore other eateries in AFI Palace.
Mesopotamia
2023 Oct 10
Mesopotamia offers diners authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in a warm ambiance, however the consistently long waits keep it at a 3-star rating. The menu features well-executed classics like kebabs, and shawarma. Combination platters allow you to sample several Mediterranean delights in one meal. The cozy decor and hospitable service from the staff enhance the dining experience. However, the major downside is the lengthy wait times, even on weeknights. Unless you come right at opening, expect to wait at least 30minutes for crepes.
The wait often stretches over an hour, which can really dampen a night out. The food makes the wait worthwhile, especially for special occasions. But for casual weeknight dinners, the consistent crowding and waits make Mesopotamia more frustrating than enjoyable. With better handling of reservations and wait times, Mesopotamia would warrant 4 or 5 stars. For now, its popularity outpaces its ability to seat diners in a timely manner.
Trofic Timpuri Noi

Tropfic café earns top marks for their incredible specialty coffee drinks and phenomenal service, especially from bartender Origo. Tropfic brews up artfully-crafted espresso beverages using single origin beans and expert techniques. Their baristas can turn out a flawless cappuccino or matcha latte with intricate designs. Beyond coffee, Tropfic has an inspired tea menu and homemade pastries. However, Origo's hospitality makes the experience exceptional. He crafts each drink with precision and care. Origo patiently explained different preparation methods to help me order. He even customized my drink by adding an extra espresso shot exactly how I like it. On top of his coffee mastery, Origo's charisma makes everyone feel welcomed. Between the impeccable drinks and Origo's phenomenal service, Tropfic stands out as a 5-star café in Bucharest. I'll be returning not just for the incredible coffee but also for Origo's charm and dedication to customer happiness.
