Delicious food, but service is a little messy, although there seems to be plenty of staff around. Be mindful this is a very busy area on a hot summer day, it’s hard to find a table but you can walk out and sit by the water and it’s all good. Washroom needs a code but if you don’t wanna line up you can use the one from the community centre. The pizzas are sensational! The gelato is probably one of the best I’ve had in town. Their pastries look beyond amazing so I’ll need to come back for those! (Parking is a pain)
Place Royale

So lively and unique. Place Royale is the spot where, in 1608, Samuel de Champlain built what became the first permanent French settlement in North America. It’s still an amazing meeting point for cultural activities, it’s definitely worth a visit when in town. I was there right before Halloween and there was a band playing, all kids were in costume, very beautiful to watch!

Historical spot, can’t miss it when visiting the old city. The view you’re looking for is right across the street!

It would be beautiful if I could see it, they are restoring it right now.
Doe Coffee

Great vibes, there’s computer campers but it doesn’t kill it, still free tables available. Service is great, drip coffee is good and flat white was made to perfection (with oat milk). Pastries looked REALLY good, I had the vegan chocolate chip cookies and they were perfect with coffee. But what made me the happiest is that they sell Foonie cards which is an artist that I love love and always support. She moved to Montréal and it’s getting harder to find her cards around town (I personally like to touch the cards before I buy them, but you can find her on Etsy). There’s other cute merchandise, it’s a nice space overall.
