A small shop tucked away in the suburb! Glad we walked by few weeks by chance ago! It is now our yum Cha place to go. Though small, it is packed with Hong Kong traditional sim sims at more realistic prices! We have been there a few times ever since! Cantonese is the go ad they struggle in English
Feeling nostalgic after not visiting for >20 years since I left work around here! Still the same decor, except the front windows are cleaner which allows viewing inside! Quality of food is so much like the ways it should be!! - honest pricing and value for money compared with fluffy offerings from quite a few restaurants ! We love the traditional ‘pao’ skins- the way it should be! The soup is Jam Pack with ‘Liu’, tiny restaurant place, old unassuming furnishings, but jam packed with happy patrons! I feel so lucky to be here again! Please keep up your good quality food at modest prices!
We did the world famous 110km iconic Great Ocean Walk in two trenches! First half in 4 days from the Apollo Bay official point to Aires River. Then the next 4 days to Port Campbell. Due to the fame, quite a few companies offer glamming facilities, picked up and drop off daily. I have done both the daily car shuffle style and pack carry style. Each had their own attractions!! With the daily car shuffle living in accommodation, I had the extra enjoyment of the different landscapes! Pack carrying allow me to enjoy the exclusive campsites just for pack carriers, (need to book and pay in advance), mostly equipped with the toilets with a view!! I have seen koalas through it, as well as rugged coastline below it!! I can’t choose between the two! So I did them all!! What a sense of achievement when you put a tick at the end of it!! Beware of snakes during the warmer months by the plenty in the area!!! The tide level times of Parker’s inlet before the lighthouse need to be observed! I don’t remember having issue crossing it 5 years ago on pack carry. This time, we had to turn back and car shuffle across as the tide was one meter deep at its lowest and I am not a good swimmer as well as height challenged!!
Just love it in the old Regent Theatre Building! What a Brisbane icon! Sincerely hope this remains the permanent place for the information centre as it is the eye of Brisbane!! The architecture and the decoration throughout the building is just stunning for Australia with a relatively young history of <300 years European arrivals!
