Hanoi House in the Heart of East Village, NYC offers a chill setting, featuring a concise menu of creative Vietnamese dishes, along with a selection of craft beers and wine.
However, my recent visit to Hanoi House with three friends definitely did not live up to our expectations. While the food was generally good, it was not great. The house specialty, the Hanoi Style Beef Pho With Bone Marrow was meh at best. I've had better pho and definitely better bone marrow. Honestly, this supposed star of the show ended up being a lackluster symphony of disappointment and plainness.
Pros:
Great neighborhood.
The prices are reasonable.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.
Cons:
The food is ok
The restaurant can be crowded.
Overall:
I would recommend Hanoi House to people who are looking for a casual and affordable place to try authentic Vietnamese cuisine. However, I would not say that it is the best Vietnamese restaurant in NYC.

🎒Alright, I'll come clean - I'm a bit biased when it comes to this review. I attended HGSE a decade ago, and my partner just graduated last year. But hear me out - as an insider, I can tell you that Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) is truly something special.
📍Located at 13 Appian Way in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, HGSE is a hub of innovation and academic excellence.
🚗If you're driving to HGSE, there is limited on-street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. Paid parking garages are located nearby at the Harvard Square Garage and the Broadway Garage.
🚍Public transportation is a convenient option, as the campus is located within walking distance of several MBTA bus and subway stops. The closest subway stops are Harvard Square (Red Line) and Porter Square (Red Line). The campus is also accessible via several MBTA bus routes, including the 71 and 73.
📚Once you arrive on campus, the main entrance to HGSE is located on Appian Way. The campus is comprised of several buildings, including Larsen Hall, Longfellow Hall, and Gutman Library. Campus maps are available online and at the main entrance.
🏫HGSE is located in a vibrant and bustling area, with several dining and shopping options nearby. Harvard Square, a popular destination for visitors and locals alike, is just a short walk away and offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes, and shops.
