My daughter and I popped in here more or less on a whim while walking through the Quarter. We talked to a young man as well as "Ms B". They gave us help for good weather on my daughter's wedding day with a candle and extensive instructions on how to burn it, which my daughter followed to the letter. Everyone we dealt with there was super nice. And the weather on the big day was perfect. Thanks.
Lovely dinner we enjoyed outside on a beautiful summer evening. The duck breast was fantastic. Prices were very fair.
It's ok. Nothing special or unusual. Regular subway station. However, there is a mystery staircase on the downtown side (blocked off for a long time) and I have long wondered where that used to lead.
I have no opinion about the church services, but they sponsor a music series with regular performances called "Music on Madison" by the St Andrew Music Society. The offerings are interesting and by very talented performers. The church sanctuary is absolutely beautiful and makes a fantastic setting for the concerts. Excellent acoustics as well.
This is possibly the oldest remaining (small portion) of a major league ballpark in America. Now a wall at a ConEd storage yard, the wall may have been part of the old Washington Park, a baseball park for the pre-Ebbett's field Dodgers.
