The Antique Depot is a great place to visit in Old Ellicott City. It is right across the street from the B&O Ellicott City Train Station Museum. The Mall has mostly vintage items rather than antiques for sale on its three floors. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only drawback I see is that prices are are not very negotiable. The best deal is usually a 10% discount over a certain amount. Overall, it makes an enjoyable stop on a visit to Old Ellicott City.
Wagon Wheel Antiques is located in Tiber Alley next to the Antique Depot. It is a great place to stop and get an inexpensive soda and walk through two floors chock full of collectibles and antiques. On the second floor you'll find an old horse drawn hearse. It's well worth a stop while on a visit to Old Ellicott City.
The staff at the PNC Branch in Long Gate shopping center are great. They are always friendly and helpful. We made the switch to PNC over a year ago, and we have never regretted the decision.
This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were very happy with our lunch selections. The portion sizes were large and the prices were modest. We had the Pineapple Curry ($10.95) and Cashew Nut with Chicken ($13.95). We were given a very large bowl of rice along with our entrees. Overall, a great selection if you are in the mood for Thai food.
I'm an avid collector and a frequent visitor to the Attic Hunters. Blair and Chuck run the shop and always seem to have interesting things on display. In my opinion, Attic Hunters is the best collectibles and antique store in Howard County. They are open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. I understand they make house calls during the week for people interested in selling items.
