They have a new playground, otherwise it's about the same that it was when I was a kid.
Beautiful, serene, well kept park. We love to bring our little ones to the playgrounds, which are pretty awesome - makes me wish I was there size so I could get in on the action. There are also biking/hiking trails, a baseball field, a large lawn, picnic area with barbecues - and more. Of course, the other way, you have the golf course with the world renown Bethpage Black Course.

My son had fun feeding and seeing the animals. They ONLY accept cash, which is a little bit of a pain. The animals are fun to interact with - though I couldn't help but feel like something wasn't right. The ostriches seemed distressed. The giraffe was very sweet but it's enclosure just seems so small. I was ignored/blown off by workers there when I pointed out that there was POISON IVY in several spots in the playground area - and again when I pointed out one of their little birds had an injured foot. Also, it is VERY expensive.
Large park. Athletic fields are pristine and updated. Smaller playground area is nice. Larger one is becoming dilapidated. There is also poison ivy scattered throughout the park and the larger playground area.
