The Wen Cheng has 3 branches by now and is super popular. I had to queue for 30 minutes on a Sunday night. Despite of the hype, I was not happy. The restaurant is claiming to be very authentic, but I doubt that the starter, a crispy tofu bun was ever served in Wen Cheng, the village the restaurant owners parents are coming from. The texture of the bun could have been more fluffy, the fermented cucumber tasted very Western and had not resemblance to the sour pickles I had in Asia. Visually, not appealing.
The hand pulled noodles with egg plants were too everything for me. Rough, course flavors, which were too spicy, too much garlic, too greasy for me, an extremely strong sweet and sour taste.
The handmade noodles were very think and not exiting in flavor.

Feels a little bit like a lost place. Most stores including Mediamarkt close now around 18:00 h or 19:00 h. Kaufland is one of the few store with regular late opening hours.
