Grand Ole Opry
2023 Oct 23
The Opry was a great experience. We done the tour which was brilliant. Getting to see behind the scenes as well as all the dressing rooms and even where the members collect their mail was really cool. The place has so much stories to tell and plays a huge part of the country music scene. I was surprise at how tiny the Circle was, but excited to see it and stand on it. Seeing a show was nice too, it's an intimate experience and mostly suited for really country fans. (I am a country fan but not of anything too slow) Overall really glad I got to see a show and explore the Opry and Opry grounds. It's a must see for anyone visiting Nashville or for anyone who is a fan of the TV Show Nashville. Downside is the parking, it was a nightmare, it's all digital and done via an app and a phone number. If you have any number other than US or Canada don't bother trying parking here (plus it would have cost $20) We parked in the mall beside it and it was only an 8 mins walk to the Opry and it was free.
Kelvingrove Bandstand

Amazing evening at the Bandstand. What a fabulous experience. We saw Belinda Carlisle and were right at the front. The atmosphere was fantastic. So electric and comfortable, even when it started to rain. Downside is that drinks are on the expensive side, but the same at any concert venue. Would be happy to go here and see a brand or artist that I wasn't even a fan of just for the experience again. By far the best concert venue I've been too. Felt very intimate, rather than a big venue where you can't see the stage or watching the artist or band on a screen. Looking forward to seeing more acts here. Highly recommended!
