Great place to spend a summer day on the grass, looking out at the water, a spring day looking at all the trees blossoming and a fall day enjoying the respite before Chicago winter.
This location charges more than the others which are only a few blocks away, and barely put any filling/toppings on the items you order. Want a tortilla tightly wrapped with barely anything inside? Come here! Want to get your order wrong/incomplete? This is the place for you! I only feel bad for the people that work here, it’s not entirely their fault, I’m sure they are only doing as instructed, but to be so stingy - leaving ingredients out, filling things up only halfway? I’ll walk to another location.
This church hosts Feed My Starving Children Mobile Food Packs regularly, which is wonderfully supported by the local community. Please look into FMSC and sign up to volunteer!
I wish I found this place sooner! No line, but still took a while to make. Why? Because they make it fresh for you while you wait and when you finally get to eat it, it doesn't taste like Chipotle or Qdoba - it tastes like something you can make at home, but spicy, even if you ask for mild! Even though there was lettuce, they don't just use it as filler, every ingredient is wonderfully proportioned and they don't skimp. I'll definitely eat from here again.
This place is my friend's favorite, and she was in the mood so we went - what a disappointment. I just wanted a quesadilla, but all I could taste was char. The tortilla was so burnt it might as well have been charcoal flavored. My friend said hers had this weird oily flavor and she ended up scraping the toppings off and using the chips that were on the table as a substitute. The price does NOT equate the quality. I'll be going to taco fresco instead.
