Yummy Yummy Noodles
2023 Nov 11
This is my go to place for Chinese food. I've been here too many times to count. It's off the main area on a side street, but has some of the best food in Chinatown. I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and it was delicious. They are generous with the meat portions and the noodles are swimming in a salty broth. Add some of their house chili oil and that's comfort food to me. There's a good amount of seating inside to enjoy eating in. The food is made quickly and comes out super hot. I enjoy when the food is piping hot.
Located in Chicago Chinatown, mayflower is a restaurant that serves solid dim sum. I went around lunch time on a Sunday, and it was busy. The establishment was filled with locals, and it was loud as people were conversing over the food. There are too many dishes to go over, but here are 3 things that were good during this visit:

1. Loh Mai Fan, sticky rice: it’s fried style (rather than steamed) and has peanuts.
2. Lo Bak Go, turnip cake: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
3. Wu Gok, Crispy taro puff: crispy outside filled with taro and meat on the inside.

It isn’t the fanciest, but it’s relatively inexpensive for going out for dim sum. If you’re in Chinatown, check this place out if you’re looking for a good place for dim sum.
