Fort Worth Stockyards

We had an amazing day at the Stockyards! We were shocked at how much there was to do! We arrived around 10 and we're able to see the 11:30 cattle drive... longhorns walked down the middle of the street. Then we spent the day shopping and exploring. A great first day in the Fort Worth area!
Loved our visit to the wildlife ranch. Six mile drive took about an hour. Animals will cross the road or just stand in the road, so traffic can get backed up a little. Loved the giraffes and the ostriches. Beware of the ostriches, if you roll down your window they like to stick their heads in and snap at you. They were funny, but definitely roll your window up if they are near! So cool!
Amazing ride down the San Antonio River. Our Captain, Doug, was humorous and gave great information on the different places and buildings along the river. Tour is about 30 mins.

We were so happy to find this little gem! We travel full-time in our RV and rarely visit the same place twice, since we like to try all of the Mom and Pop places, but we couldn't resist a return! If we could give more stars, we would! Beautiful, homey atmosphere. Both times we visited were on a Sunday and they had amazing singers, singing old country songs. They were a nice accompaniment to the atmosphere and not overly loud. But, y'all, the food! Hands down, best food in Branson! Great Story, great food, great service! I can't say anymore, but GO! Our faves, Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich and the CFC Club, Chicken Fried meal.
We did the golf cart tour, which we have done before, but we had to do it again. The views are amazing! You drive a golf cart 2.5 miles along a path that oversees beautiful views, waterfalls, and a drive through a cave where you can purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the Bat Bar. It takes approximately an hour, and there are places you can park along the way and get out to take pictures. Along the way, the screen on the golf cart tells you about the places you are and about Johnny Morris, who created this amazing place (and owns Bass Pro). It's definitely worth the money!
