I've checked out a LOT of thrift shops but Housing Works takes the cake. They supply their stores with only hand picked chosen stuff from locally donated goods. Their employees are kind & friendly & the store is clean & well organized. YES to Housing Works & their good cause! (HIV).
Beautifully hand-picked and curated store with an awesome selection of art, jewelry (from local or hand chosen jewelers) lighting, perfume, etc. spread out between a few stores. My friend chose an incredibly unique, antique chandelier and had the best customer service with the process. Lots of thought & love went into the making of these stores.
Great antique store packed to the brim w furniture, lighting, and art. They take their stuff seriously. 4 floors of things, often mid century or other ..
Is there such a thing as too much vintage? If volume is the goal, they've won. If you're looking for "the most" of something, this is it! Somehow though, too much can go from feeling excited for the dig, to tedium. Yes they've got vintage at somewhat affordable prices (unless it's really really cute!) but I can't say it feels exciting to go hunting for that special thing. There's just so much of it.
Great gallery- good choice with artists' work. I enjoyed the chosen pieces and overall feel of Haen.
