Very impressive! This was a great place to stop and check out. Clean restrooms and very informative, as they had much on display; from wildlife to hillbilly stuff. There are people who will talk to you about the local area and about the parkway in general. They had a theater where you could sit and learn about the area too.
Had a fun time. The course was fairly simple but it was layed out nice and the greens were in excellent condition. It would have been nice if there was a bit more shade because it was a scorching hot day. The gift shop had things priced reasonably and everyone was friendly. Overall a great place to play miniature golf.
Fun times! Very exciting! This cave is not so cold that you need a jacket. Our guide was very informative and made the experience a delight. The candy/ice-cream shop was nice, too. They also had blown glass shop and a water mill for the kids to pan for gem stones. Picnic areas were available and they had a smoking area. The hike down to the lake was a half mile down and the hike back up was approximately one quarter mile. There was an 86 year old woman in our group and she did it just fine, all the way to the lake. At the lake, you bourd small boats and go for a boat ride out on the lake. The lake was stocked with rainbow trout that had been tagged, in an attempt to see if there may be a way out under the water. The lake is about 70 feet deep at its deepest location and its about 3 to 5 feet deep at the dock. The entire experience lasts about 2 hours and it cost about $25 per person. I'm not sure if they had senior discounts or any for children but to me it was worth the money to see and experience.
