Overall a nice dining experience, good and quick service. The charcuterie board and beef tartar were good but a bit too salty to my taste. I really enjoyed the Raclette braised pork cheek main course, definitely the highlight of the evening. The restaurant is a bit overpriced in my opinion, but that’s something to be expected in Toronto. 🤷🏻♂️
Just a small local pub with friendly personnel. When it comes to beer and gin, they only have their own craft stuff, so no Hendricks or other generic brands, but what I’ve tried was actually quite decent.
Really great outdoor sitting area. I ordered their beef hot plate with salad and rice and it was brought out incredibly quickly. The food is very good and the prices are fair.
I ordered their “Rumpsteak with potatoes and onions” and got a thin, tough and partially raw minute steak with half a kilo of potatoes, so the “steak” seemed more like a side. Both the meat and potatoes were bland and lacked seasoning. For the price of €21.5 this is unacceptable, in my opinion. The interior space is actually quite cozy and the waiter was nice, hence the 3 star rating and not lower.
I came to Ho Lin Wah for a late lunch and it was a nice experience. I only had beef with broccoli and it was quite alright. This small restaurant is hidden away from the busy street noises, which I really enjoyed. The waitress was nice and the food was brought out quickly. Prices are fair for the Ku’damm area. No problems whatsoever, don’t really get the negative reviews.
