The staff seemed to take offense to my decision not to tip, and as a result, they deliberately served me a pitiful amount of gelato, trying to hide it underneath the surface. It was nothing short of a rip-off of $6.50 and a blatant display of unprofessionalism.
I firmly believe that tipping should be based on the quality of service received, not as a means to dictate the amount of gelato one gets. The staff's behavior, expecting tips regardless of the service provided, is simply unacceptable. Moreover, I echo the sentiments of other customers who have expressed similar concerns in their 1-star reviews.
