Humble experience at The King Center. Self-guided tour with an outside memorial pool, enteral fire pit, and the final resting place of Martin Luther King Jr and Coretta Scott King. Inside of the King Center there is so much history from different artifacts( medals, dresses, clothes, and pictures ). There is also a room dedicated to Rosa Parts and Gandhi.
Wonderful park with a 1 mile trial through the Forth Ward neighborhood. Enjoy the Beautiful homes and the skyline of Charlotte during the walk. Playground and multiple water fountains throughout the park.
Great local farmers market on Kings Drive. Only open on Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays! All Produce is local from NC, SC and GA. Different stands from Flowers, Cakes, BBQ, Produce and local honey. Bring your reusable bag!
Quiet neighborhood park located in the Double Oaks neighborhood. Street parking is the only option. The park has a basketball court, playground, grill, and tent area. I would not suggest coming to this park after dark due to the sketchy neighborhoods close by.
Excellent Greenway! Around a mile length with a shady area to through. Lots of nature on this greenway from a creek to forestry. Police normally park towards the main entrance so no concerns with safety on this greenway. Enjoy your walk !
