The Mayor of Old Town

A dated-looking venue with poor parking options, but definitely worth the effort to get in and try their food and beer options! An incredible selection of over 80 beers on tap, focused on Colorado breweries, but complemented by some excellent out of state choices. The food is not just your typical pub grub. They've elevated some classic dishes with amazing sauces and flavors. Don't miss the truffle fries and the schnitzel sandwich with habanero jelly, slaw.
A great place to visit, with a massive display of every kind of rock, mineral, and crystal specimen that you can imagine. Two levels of exhibits, organized by where the specimens came from - all the counties of Colorado, different parts of the US, and many foreign countries. Every display is visually stunning with amazing shapes and colors. There is also a display of nice fossils, meteorites, and moon rocks. A great place to bring the kids! Admission is free, but parking fee is now required just within the last two weeks - $10
Casey Brewing Taproom

Had our first Casey beer at Primitive
Beers in Longmont CO, where they had it as a guest beer. From there we knew we had to visit the Casey brewery in Glenwood Springs! Had a great time sampling their beers including farmhouse sour ales, their IPAs, and a BB aged stout. All were excellent but really like their hazy IPAs. Wanted to take some cans home, but all but one pale ale had sold out the prior weekend. These beers are popular and will go fast!

Enjoyed a trip back to Casey. Had a great visit with excellent beers and lunch to go, picked up right next door at Slope and Hatch. Got 7 four packs to go - very reasonable price of $16 for most.
A lttle bit of effort needed to find this exhibit in the basement of a Western apparel store, but well worth it. Donation of $5 suggested for admission. A great story about Doc Holliday's connection with this town and his subsequent death in the hotel that previously stood on this spot. You'll enjoy this fairly extensive exhibit and who knows, you.may find a nice Western hat, shirt and boots to take home with you!
Really enjoyed our visit to this local history museum! Many communities can put together a collection of donated historical items. But here, these items have been placed in a great Victorian home that had been a local doctors' residence and office. Excellent staff who were very knowledgeable. Only $4 entry for seniors.
