Best moss covered rock and gorge-exploring experience!! Even better than Metcalfe Rock at the Duncan Caves, and the Keyhole Pass at Nottawasaga Bluffs!

This trail is SO much fun we did a re-do the next day. Kids will love the climbing aspect, just keep 'em clear of the drop-offs.

This is a must-see hike if you're in the area. Also note that [at this time] Google gives incorrect instructions to the trail head for parking at this, and many of the trails in the area. For this trail, you want the parking area on Eagle Cres. and Osprey Town line.
Fantastic trail! Terrain is mostly coastal boulders and smooth rock-face, pebbly beaches. There are places to wade into the water if you like (bring swim shoes 'cause there's glass from partiers tho). There are several look-out points which are good places for a snack. This trail is specially good for dog-walkers as it is one of the few off-leash areas permitted.
We liked it so much we went back a few days later!

Shared with ATVs,motorcycles and dog-walkers, this former railway bed is an otherwise nice hike with views of beaver dams, turtles and birds...BUT personally, the smell of diesel, dust, and noise of 8 vehicles going by on a Sunday at noon kinda turns me off. I'd recommend the nearby Rugged North Shore Trail instead.
Trout Hollow Trail

Trickling water heard throughout as you walk along the forest path. Every 50m or so there's a side trail to get to the river for a looksee. In 1st week of October there were a lot of salmon to be seen. It's a 3.5 km trail to the ruins of an old griss mill(each way, so 7km total). Dog friendly (leashed) and quiet, it's a really lovely hike. Grab an ice cream in town when your're done!
