I visited this temple with some friends and it was a beautiful and peaceful temple. During my visit I had the pleasure of a private tour and my favorite spots were the Museum and wishing well. There was a wedding ceremony there as well and the beautiful chanting added to the serene atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
I noticed this place when driving through and decided to stop by for lunch.
The parking lot is very tight with only a few spots and getting in and out was quite difficult because many people had large vehicles when I visited (long bed trucks, SUVs and Vans) however, as frustrating as the parking situation was the food was amazing and the staff were all great.
I ordered one if each tamale (8 in total) and I split them with my guest.
We also tried the Chile relleno which was delicious as well.
The tamales were $2.50 each which is about the average now but they were a good size (I'll usually be served a thinner tamale from other restaurants). The red and green salsas they provide were great too and I wish we would have been able to take some home.
For a drink we tied the champurrado which was also quite good.
The atmosphere was welcoming and I look forward to stopping by again some day in the future.
