BananaBro

The 1st time we dined here, it was absolutely amazing, both food and services. Unfortunately after 2nd visit, we are all quite disappointed with the differences in services and food limit even though both visits we ordered the same family set (for 3 to 4 pax). On the 2nd visit, sauces were served differently (in mini pouring jug instead of saucers which is great) but instead of unlimited papadum like the 1st visit, we were only given TWO single papadum and when questioned about unlimited papadum during previous visit, we were told that each craving set only comes with ONE papadum… seriously? ONE? Surely papadum doesn’t cost that much to provide more than one piece per craving set, after all, the family set is catered to feed 3-4 people as per menu… so we are supposed to crumble the papadum to share between 4 people?? 4 people sitting at the table, only 2 banana leaves were provided and had to ask for the other 2. Instead of side dishes being served in bowls for self-serve, 2nd visit had to be served scoop by scoop from the waitress until we asked to have a bowl for self-serve. Other than the above poor experiences, food does taste delicious. If you only care about delicious food but nothing else, then do try it otherwise you’ll just have to try your luck to see which waitress is working on the day to serve you.
K Town Restaurant

Have been to several Korean BBQ in Perth, first time trying this place. We ordered one of the set menu, good selection of food here, 3 different types of self-serve side dishes plus rice, refill as much as you want. Meat will have to be ordered when you are close to finishing the current one. Read some review regarding long wait for subsequent meat refill to arrive, but ours came pretty quickly. Be mindful that beef ribs is only served in the FIRST plate and will have to be ordered as additional. Outdoor seating area can be a bit too dark especially if you struggle with eye sights in the dark. The loose stones on the ground outdoor can be quite annoying to wriggle seats around. Services was quite up to standard, friendly staff, just sometimes hard to get attention. Overall satisfactory and good experience.

A small restaurant with limited tables and seatings, always busy but they do take bookings (recommended). Seatings are very crowded and limited spaces between tables. Food doesn’t usually take long to be served and is tasty. Service is ok, although could be better. Sometimes booking or time change gets missed which gets really frustrating having to wait around still. Despite the above, we still always enjoy meals here.
Ramen Boy

A little hidden gem in the local suburb. Various selections of ramen and don (rice) at reasonable prices, apparently Wow Ramen is their most popular which is delicious but a little salty. Unagi don is delicious. Although the flavours for their menu items aren’t fully authentic as business is run by Chinese owner?/staff?, they are still delicious. It would have been much better if they give more soup in the ramen so it ain’t too dry by the time the noodle is finished after soaking up most of the soup.
I’ve been here a few years ago and quite enjoyed it but this time round, I was quite disappointed. Although the place is small, it’s atmosphere for dining isn’t too bad. Food overall was average, not the very authentic Japanese flavours but still taste good. Chicken karage was nice but a bit over done, colour too dark from deep frying. The chicken Teppanyaki was an absolute disappointment… you pay for a main dish price but gets only tiny portion of chicken on the plate (see photo) which is absolutely ridiculous considering chicken aren’t that expensive to buy. The sauce for it was also super salty.
Not sure if I’d return again.
