The location is easy to find. I encourage you to be on time to board. Regarding dining, you can do dinner before the trip and do a cruise only experience. We did include the dinner (first time), but it was a buffet with average Cajun food. The pasta was cold. The corn was exceptional. The gumbo needed more seasoning. The bread pudding was average, but what you would expect served to a large crowd. The food is good but not amazing.
The hostess (evening of July 3, 2023) was also clearing tables and taking care of many things. I wish I had gotten her name. She was an excellent employee who should be recognized for great customer service and pitching in all places.
The entertainment in the dining room and on the top deck was good and festive/fun.
If we knew before booking, we would have enjoyed an early dinner before boarding and took seats quickly on the top deck (as soon as we boarded).
Pro tip: Before the ride is completed, make your way to the back deck to debark quickly.
