Shiraz Golden Restaurant in Kolkata is a classic spot for authentic Mughlai cuisine, known for its rich flavors and traditional recipes. It's located at Mallikbazaar crossing. The biryani, kebabs and korma dishes are standout items, offering a perfect blend of spices and tender meats. The ambiance is simple and nostalgic, reflecting its long-standing heritage in the city. While the service can be slow during peak hours, the quality of food makes it worth the wait. Ideal for those who appreciate hearty, flavorful meals in a no-frills setting. Been going there for the last two decades and the tastes still stand out. This time we had Chicken Bhuna, chicken bharta, mutton biriyani, tandoori roti and phirni. The service was surprisingly fast. Still one of my favourites in Kolkata.
