I am a regular online customer there, but today I was disappointed with one of the team members at the California Fish Grill, Puente Hills. I am very friendly and was brought up to be polite, kind, and courteous with others. Today was very busy at the restaurant so I patiently waited for my order. While waiting, I made eye-contact with one of the cooks in the kitchen (the short, younger male cook) then I smiled very politely and respectfully, I am also a male, so for me no big deal. He smiled but what disturbed me was that then he went with other cooks in his area to mock me and I know exactly what he was saying, that a gay coquet man smiled, winked, flirted at him (to make himself feel more important to his collogues). I felt disrespected because I was only being "human" offering a kind smile to a stranger, but to be later penalized by bullying and mockery, and from a worker of an establishment where I am paying money!
I hope management reads this to train their staff that their customers "PAY" not only for great food, but to receive good service with a smile!

A couple of days before New Years, I went to pickup an order for someone else, I was told to confirm hot salsa in the bag. When I arrived, I asked to pay for my order and I was attended by the assistant cook. At first, she was very pleasant and kind, but after paying and not leaving a tip on the credit card machine (Why would anybody leave a tip when you weren't actually served in the restaurant, you're only picking up!) Well, when the order was ready, I just asked to confirm about the hot salsa from the owner and very politely wished her a "Happy New Year". What really disturbed me, was that the assistant cook looked at me as if I was "Weird", not only did she not acknowledge me by at least saying: "Happy New Year" or "Thank you" or "Have a nice Day" (when we made "Eye Contact") but she had the nerve to whisper a negative comment about me to the owner while I was approaching the door! (She couldn't even have waited until the customer (Me) exited the restaurant!!!) I don't appreciate that....when I give business to an establishment and later the staff show disrespect by talking bad about me. That is extremely "Unprofessional!!!"
