Worst attitude from their staff!!

I have got a gift bag for my birthday from a friend of mine living in Egypt attached with the gift receipt and I wanted to change it with something else and pay the difference!
I asked my friend to send me the original receipt for my reference in case anything happens then one of their staff called “Mahmoud Mohy” told me you are not allowed to exchange it as it’s a gift from Egypt and Dubai’s branch is a different company!!! I asked him to show me any written policy or documentation that refuses me to change a gift if I have the original receipt and if I am still in the 2 weeks validity for exchange!
And to show me any proof that Egypt’s branch is different from Dubai’s branch!!
He Told me we have no policy Iam telling you as I am here the store manager here ! Then when my friend called him he asked about his role and title in the store he changed his Role from a store manager to a store in charge!!!!!
I asked him to escalate and contact someone more responsible he didn’t help me he just told me I will take your number and call you and no one called me since 3 days !!!!

So please try to hire more polite people next time !!!
