Exploring Ottawa's ByWard Market area was a delight. The vibrant atmosphere, diverse shops, and eclectic dining options make it a must-visit. Whether you're strolling through the market stalls, enjoying local cuisine, or soaking in the lively ambiance, the ByWard Market area offers a memorable and charming experience.
This place is a hidden delight. I loved the food here. There is such an authentic feel about this place and the people that work here/own it. Highly recommended if you want an authentic experience. I had 3 different types of sushis- shrimp, egg and imitation crab. The egg one was the best! And try the miso soup. It’s calming.
Exceptional Service and Delicious Food!
I recently visited Goodman Pub and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction.
I ordered a drink and a sandwich, but unfortunately, the sandwich had seared tuna fish, which I’m sure was delicious, but was not for me as I can’t digest raw fish. However, the waiter Oliver (had a tattoo of Marty Brown) was incredibly understanding and quickly replaced it with a different sandwich of my choice, without any extra charge. Their willingness to accommodate my preferences was truly remarkable.
Not only was the service outstanding, but the food was also exceptional. The replacement sandwich I received was absolutely delicious, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and presentation.
I highly recommend Goodman Pub to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. The friendly and attentive staff, along with their commitment to customer satisfaction, make this place stand out. I am particularly grateful to the waiter who assisted me with my order. Their professionalism and willingness to ensure a positive experience left a lasting impression on me.

A nice little corner tucked into the heart of the bustling city. The monument there is quite unique! I didn’t get a chance to explore the food court underneath. Overall a good small place to walk around or just hang out with a friend.
