A good castle to visit for a couple of hours. Big grounds steeped in history with lots of castle remains to explore. You can go up the steps in parts - the are steep as round staircases. Nice views if you make it to the top

A nice small pub in Edinburgh. Stopped for a pint that went down well. There is a lot of history associated with this pub and why it is called the last drop. Worth a visit to quence that thirst. Also read the sign on the door to find out why its called the last drop.

Standard Esso fuel station. Accompanying Tesco shop which stocks most essential items. It can get busy as its a popular station and shop.

A good open space and park with good parking. Only a short walk to the canal towpath, which provides good walks. The park itself has the usual slides, swings etc. There is a skate park and also a small zip line slide.

A great bridge that has stood the test of time. Good photo opportunities. Nice woodland walk through Barlow Wood.
