I was fortunate enough to visit the Chinese Canadian Museum in their new permanent home at the Wing Sang Building in Vancouver's Chinatown, during their opening weekend. I learned so much and was so engrossed with The Paper Trail Exhibit, and left the Museum completely obsessed with The 1923 Immigration Act; wondering why I never learned about it in Social Studies class during high school. The emotions that I felt walking through the museum were strong and makes me feel so proud as a Chinese Canadian born in Vancouver, that our city and society has come to far.
