Other than the history there's nothing unique about this narrow, shotgun style bar. That isn't to say I had a bad experience. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Drinks were made well and strong enough. There IS history here so I gave an extra star for a place Belushi hung out. Sly had been there and of course it was the last place the Black Delia was seen alive. If history is your thing, like me, check it out. If not, meh.

There isn't much to say here. The photos tell the story. The drive up, back down and around Mulholland and Laurel Canyon is worth the effort alone. Disclaimer:. We went on a Monday and I would be shocked if parking isn't a problem on the weekends. There are however several pull over spots on the drive to the two primary overlook spots and even if you can't find a spot the drive is such that circling back multiple times isn't a downer. It's a picturesque section of metro L.A.

You can't help but wonder what the views from these trails, and the Hart house, before the SCV was developed and continues to develop and inhabit. I'm part of that invasion so I'm not complaining but thinking of the still spectacular views as they were when pristine is hard to escape. Bison are viewable if you get lucky. 360 degree stunning views. Benches and stop and see areas are scattered throughout the trails. Santa Clarita is a magnificent hiking SoCal destination and the trails at Hart Park only add to that cache. Enthusiastically recommended. You can spend the entire day here if your heart and lungs are capable.

Small park. Well maintained and the start, or finish, of a Santa Clara River Paseo, perhaps the biggest plus for Discovery. Parking is ok and the park itself is nice, just on the small side. You also have access the to dry river bed which is nice for dog owners.
Update. Took the dogs out into the river bed. Lots of trails. May want to invest in dog booties. Picked up one sticker. Not a huge deal but there are sticker bushes and some glass. Added some photos of us out in the river trails. Check the one paw print. Its huge. Think its a bear print but you're welcome to correct me. Put my shoe next ro it for reference, a size 12 sneaker. FWIW
