I ate here last year when I camped at Kohler-Andrae State Park and really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. This year, when I returned for another camping trip, one of my first stops was Parkside. The food is fresh and delicious and the portions are huge!
I had a mushroom-Swiss omelette with sourdough toast and a side of bacon - it was big enough to feed me and my two pups (it’s a 4-egg omelette)! I came back one night for dinner and tried the Chicken Alfredo and it was incredibly tasty - the chicken medallions were perfectly grilled and the savory Alfredo sauce was to-die-for.
This place has an excellent wait staff - as they are all very attentive and welcoming, and it’s clear that they like working here. Of course, management sets the tone at any establishment, and here the owner makes the rounds to each patron, checking on how everyone is enjoying their meal and to thank them for coming in. How refreshing!
While I was there, I also purchased some lovely notecards created by a local artist, and it gives this place a real ‘hometown’ feel!

My server, Chris, did an exceptional job welcoming me to Outback Steakhouse and getting all the details of my order correct. He checked back several times and I was very impressed with his service! I ordered the prime rib sandwich with their new (and very delicious) wedge salad. Shoutout to Samantha too, for stopping by my table to chat for minute. Very friendly atmosphere!
