Nilufer Usta

Located in Kaleiçi (the old town centre), this mosque was built by the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Kay Qubadh I. It is part of a complex of structures, which include the Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev Medrese, Seljuk and Dervish lodges, and the vaults of Zincirkıran and Nigar Hatun. Every stone oozes history. If you go to Antalya, this mosque should be one of the locations you should consider visiting.

What a phenomenal settlement. Until 1960, this was a settlement with fifteen Byzantine-era cave churches. Walking paths allow easy access to these churches. If you are more like me who likes to climb everywhere and discover everything, this is the place to go. I had a wonderful time.

It is amazing that this wall is still standing. Underneath this structure is filled with earth and water. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to enter.
