I was in the area and wanted to do a follow-up visit on a calmer weekday lunch stop by myself. The first time was more of a celebration of life weekend thing. The following was from my first visit and I added my current opinion at the end.
1st - "Interesting Asian buffet. Extremely busy, lots of families with kids running around. The kitchen didn't seem to be able to keep up with refilling the steam table pans. Lots of choices and the taste profiles seem to match other Asian buffet places".
2nd - My updated review is different for sure. Everything above is the same but this time no kids running around, the taste profiles of the food do not match other Asian buffets being the food seemed extremely salty (which is what I thought the 1st time but didn't really delve deep enough because of all the people) and is now confirmed. I only had one plate and didn't go back for anything except a small helping of vanilla ice (no cream). I also didn't try any sushi nor anything fried so that may have been ok, idk. I live a good 25 minutes away and anticipate never stopping in again. They do offer military & seniors a discount.

The selections have changed since I've eaten at a Taco Cabana and not like it used to be. I didn't stay and order anything. Reminded me of a glorified taco bell. Took a while before I was noticed and helped ... and the place only had a couple of customers. Seems like most of the locations I've drove by never seem busy at all.
What an interesting place! No frills, small and almost hidden in the corner of a large shopping center at 9300 Bellaire Blvd. in Chinatown Houston.
Four in the party meeting for an early dinner and we ordered 8-9 different dishes. The only pic I was able to take was the won ton soup which tasted different from all the other Chinese restaurants I've eaten in. The won ton balls had the taste of pot stickers and each one was literally the size of a golf ball... tasty and filling!
As the other dishes came out, they were attacked so fast that I couldn't get any additional pictures! I'll be back for sure!
