A nice quiet place that's part of a bigger walking trail. Great view of the surrounding suburb and was especially quiet. Most people you'll come past will be riding their bikes along the paths
Though a little bit out of the way, you should have no problem catching a bus to and from here and the station. If you need help or are not sure which bus to take, there are information centres at the bus terminals that can help you.
The statue itself is much more imposing in person, beware that once inside there are no toilets and it can take a bit of time ascending/descending the statue - toilets are located outside towards the right of the entrance (facing).
Inside you can view the statues of zodiac as well as the 108 buddhas - there are no translations for them however you can use the google translate app to glean some info from them.
Unfortunately you cannot go outside the statue at any elevation, only look outside small portholes as you descend/ascend the tower.
If you have some space in your itinerary this is recommended, however there's not much else in the surrounding area so keep note of the bus departure times (check the signs on the bus stop)
