We had an excellent dinner at Elgin. First time we were ever there. It's kind of tucked away right by the diamond district.
It felt very neighborhoodly. Did NOT feel like a tourist place at all.
-Tuna Poke Nachos were amazing. We ate every last bite.
-Pigs in a Blankey were delicious. It's a puff pastry on the outside and a sliced hotdog (almost like a knockwurst) The dipping mustard was really good.
-Chopped Salad was great. One got the chicken and the other salmon, and they were both cooked to perfection. I love watercress, but be warned that is the only lettuce in the salad which i found to be strange, never saw that anywhere else. Also, the watercress wasn't chopped so it made it a little hard to eat.
-The Side of Salt & Vinegar Fries were really delicious
-Chicken Milanese looked good, but super fried.
Large portions. Great pub dark atmosphere
Service was excellent. They have food runners so that makes a huge difference.
Can't wait to go back!

The theater is a little dated and could use a little cosmetic help. HOWEVER, the seats were VERY comfortable and the theater is small and intimate. The seats are raised up as you go back so you are able to see from just about anywhere. Also, the seats are staggered that i allowed you to see between the person in front of you. No trying to look over their shoulder.
There was a person selling merch from a small cabinet as you walked out which was great. I was able to make a purchase in about 30 seconds and leave with my group. Smart idea.
Bathrooms were down a LOT of stairs. I saw some older people walking back up. They didn't seem very happy . I assume there would be a bathroom on the main level, but ask before you buy tix if you think you might need one!
Line to get in was all the way down 48th Street to Broadway. We got there about 20 minutes before the show and it was a crazy long line. Show started about 5-10 minutes late.
Leopoldstadt was EXCELLENT.

Such a fun experience. Great food and the staff was very helpful. We had been wanting to have an "authentic" Korean BBQ dinner for some time and finally had the opportunity. (We used to go to one in Arlington VA that was amazing! It's hard to find ones that you actually BBQ yourself). Though they actually did the BBQing for us, it was fine. They kept coming around to set things up and get us organized. The drinks were good too. Can't wait to go back. But go with a larger group so you can try more things. We were only 3 and one is vegan, so the other 2 of us had to share and there was so much food.
